Watercolour painting holidays in France, holiday programme.

Enjoy a holiday of OUTDOOR watercolour painting at inspiring locations. Capture the LIGHT, MOOD and ATMOSPHERE of the Tarn region. Progress daily at your own pace, try different techniques and materials to develop your own impressionist style. Achieve all of this and explore the countryside, historic towns, markets and local life.

Create translucent washes that capture the bright southern light and colours of the region. Develop a strong sense of tone to help you create pictures of the dusty faded buildings that define the essence of southern France today

If you have never painted before this holiday programme will be the best possible way to let your watercolour painting take off.

Benefit from a structured watercolour painting holiday programme, developed and delivered by Allan Kirk a qualified art teacher and artist.

Specially selected locations will both inspire and provide the subjects that enable you to achieve results and confidence quickly.

Painting Steps to holiday Success Day by Day (5 Day painting programme Monday - Friday)

Day 1 - Materials, and Techniques

Day One is spent at the farmhouse, and provides an introduction to materials and techniques. The painting is loose, and there are plenty of interesting views to work at around the garden and the village.

Montgey

Typical day on your painting holiday

A normal painting day is spent in one of the many medieval villages, lakes, Canal cu Midi or in the beautiful Lauragais countryside. Lunch can be a simple sandwich from a Boulangerie or a "plat du jour" from a local cafe.

Painting is loose, drawing is minimal, and we will use all our colours to create broad wet on wet washes.

Canal Du Midi

If there any local events, like ,markets, or outdoor concerts, these will be included in the day and the times for tuition adjusted accordingly.
